Smoothie with a little bit of spring

Healthy smoothie with raspberries, chia and cranberry juice | insimoneskitchen.com

It happened all of a sudden this week; I walked outside , the sun was shining and it just happened – for a very brief moment – I had that spring feeling. It’s comparable to the beginning of autumn; you know it is coming but it is always suddenly there. That very special something in the air that signals that the season is about to change… Now I am not so sure it is already time for spring. We haven’t had any kind of winter at all, if you think about it and I am getting nervous thinking about the amount of mosquitos that will eventually pop up with this weather. Which – by the way – they are already doing! I saw them dancing through the air last night. Hopeless… Anyway, apart from the fabulous weather I spontaneously felt like a smoothie with a spring kick. Nice and fresh, not too heavy, perfect for the beginning of spring. Early or not…

I’ve used a lot of fruit in this smoothie, cranberry juice and chia seeds. Superfood or not, making me healthy or not, I had them in the house… Case closed. They might not make me live to be a 100 (nor do I have that ambition actually), but it won’t make me any worse either. You haven’t heard much about our plan to make little movies for a while now either. Well the plan is still there and tomorrow the very first try outs will be taken place. Tht sounds rather official but it means in short that we will start filming. It’s probably more bloopers than anything serious, so you’re warned… Well actually they will be in Dutch to begin with so nothing to see yet… Sorry! Editing film is a whole other stories and I have some serious learning to do there!

In the meantime you can enjoy this delicious smoothie!

    • Today spring seems to have disappeared here as we had loads of rain and hail… Boohoo… I want spring back!
