You want to serve something special for Christmas menu but you don’t feel like spending hours and hours in the kitchen. With this easy Christmas menu you can enjoy your guests ánd have delicious food at the same time!
Easy Christmas menu
If you’re anything like me you’ve been busy planning for your Christmas menu for days. weeks… heck maybe even months. I can spend hours with stacks of cookbooks, magazine and anything else you’ll find recipes. Jotting down ideas, crossing them out, thinking of what menu items to make. As a food blogger I rarely ever make anything twice, for the simple reason that I want to be able to share new recipes with you and I just like cooking new things. And let’s be honest; you’ll all get bored really quickly if I would serve you with the same old stew five times in a row, right?
The only exception to that rule is with Christmas. Because that is THE time in the year when I want to know what I will be serving. It’s nice to have a tried and tested recipe. Just so you know you don’t have to sweat all that hard being scared that something will fail. Although having said that: I can still remember that very first turkey… Hahaha… Not something we could really test so it was just ‘go with the flow’
Options for an easy Christmas dinner
So for this year I thought it would be a good idea to give you a couple of options to select your easy Christmas menu. I have divided it into four; appetizer, main, side dishes and dessert. And each course has three options to choose from. So you can check whatever you like best and create your easy Christmas menu without much hassle!
Appetizer for your easy Christmas menu
Salmon tartare with arugula oil
This is probably my go to easy appetizer for a lot of different dinner parties. It works well for Christmas but also for Easter or even for a fancy birthday dinner party. Just mix smoked salmon with fresh salmon fillet and some creme fraiche and you’re almost done. Easy to prepare in advance too!

Smoked salmon appetizer
The second option is also with salmon. Just because it is always festive and ready in no time at all. But the third one is without fish!

Quick vitello tonnato
Ok without fish is maybe not entirely true as the sauce is with tuna. But it doesn’t contain salmon and it is a perfect quick and easy appetizer for your Christmas menu!

Main dishes
So for the next phase of your easy Christmas menu I selected a few mains. In some cases you might want to make sure to prepare things in advance. The ham, the first dish on the menu is super easy to make but best made in advance. You can eat it cold or reheated so perfect for a stress free Christmas dinner.
Sticky marmalade ham
Who doesn’t love a good ham recipe right? Perfect for an easy Christmas menu!

Coq au vin
You would pick this one for the fancy name alone right? Coq au vin sounds complicated but this is an easy version and can be made in advance as well. Just reheat prior to serving and you’re done!

The Christmas burger
A burger for Christmas? I say why not? If you and your guests love a good burger, this is the perfect stress free main dish. It has some little extra’s , like chestnuts and mango chutney to make it special enough!

Side dishes
No Christmas menu is complete without adding a few side dishes. That can be as simple as roasted vegetables with mashed potatoes and below I give you a couple of options to choose from.
Roasted vegetables
Roasted vegetables with rosemary and thyme
Roast potatoes
Who doesn’t love a good roasted potato right? Easy to make and always delicious!

Mashed potatoes
The ultimate side dish of side dishes must be this delicious and creamy mashed potato recipe.

Dessert
No better way to end a delicious Christmas menu than with a show stopper of a dessert.
Mascarpone raspberry trifle
Ok this does require a bit of work but it is not complicated and so delicious! Everyone will be swooning over this dessert. And paired with the best cranberry sauce it’s even better.

Easy Christmas dessert
Yes that is the actual name of this dessert, which literally takes about 5 minutes to make and is so good! It requires whipping cream, lemon curd, meringue and raspberries. Super easy!

Tiramisu with white chocolate
I love this tiramisu. While I have more tiramisu recipes on the site I find this one the best and easiest to make, although they’re all pretty easy to make. Can also be prepared fully in advance so how easy is that?

So there it is; my Easy Christmas menu with choices. Just pick whatever you think will work for you. If you have the chance to test the recipes before the actual dinner date, that is always a good idea.
