Happy Easter with this super easy Easter Trifle!
Whenever Easter comes around I like to create really easy Easter desserts (like this simple and quick easter dessert with mango or this Eton Mess). Especially when you’re at home entertaining friends or family it is nice to have one thing you don’t need to worry about. And it is definitely going to be a crowd pleaser.
Table of contents
For making the easter trifle I use all ready made components. While I am a big fan of homemade, sometimes it’s just fun and easier to go for the quicker option. But feel free to make your own if you want!
A little sweet treat
The fruits I’ve used for the Easter trifle is fresh but depending on where you live or what season you make this (because it’s also really good to eat for a quick Christmas dessert, if you use a christmas themed chocolate instead of the bunnies) you can swap the fresh fruits for any type of frozen.
Chocolate bunnies
We created the chocolate bunnies ourselves with the help of a chocolate moulds and melted chocolate. While that is fun to do you can – of course – use any kind of chocolate you like. Usually around this time of year you will find chocolate bunnies or use chocolate eggs instead.
Easter trifle dessert
While I am calling this an Easter trifle dessert, you could very easily change this into a Christmas dessert or Valentines treat or whatever the occasion you want to celebrate! It’s super quick and easy to make.
I’ve used cake here to put at the bottom but if you don’t have that on hand you can substitute this for any kind of cookie you want. The vanilla custard is something I use store bought but you can make your own if you want too with this simple recipe for making a vanilla sauce. Just make it a bit thicker and you’ll have custard!
Kid friendly
Kids will have a good time making the Easter trifle themselves so it will be a fun activity to do to keep them busy.
Questions asked about the easy easter trifle

Yes you can prepare most of the dessert up front. If you do, make sure to only add the fruits and the chocolate topping right before serving. Otherwise it might become less pretty to look at. But the rest you can easily prepare in advance. Keep in the fridge covered with plastic wrap until ready to serve.
