Whatever happened to the time? With Easter fast approaching I thought it would be a good idea to highlight some of my favorite Easter recipes for you to get started. There are more Easter recipes on the site of course and you can find all of them in the category Easter, but the below recipes are some of the sites favorites and my personal selection for this year.
Easter recipes
Easter is one of those funny holidays, as it’s not really as big as Christmas but it is still something that is celebrated throughout the world. For me Easter is all about the start of Spring and I like to see it that way. The collection of Easter recipes that you will find below is in most cases simple to make and will be Easter favorites.
Easter cookies
Let’s start with one of my favorite cookie recipes; these cute little Easter bunnies are perfect as the recipe will allow you to use just about any kind of cookie cutter. I’ve used bunnies here but you could go for eggs or little lambs too. Make sure you cool down the dough before making the shapes as that will determine how the end result will look. Cooling down is important!

Easter bundt cake
Lemon and thyme are two of the main ingredients in this delicious easter bundt cake. You can bake it in a bundt shape or make it into a regular cake. Make it even more delicious by adding some icing on top of the cake. If you want to use icing go for lemon flavor to complement the cake.

Rack of lamb
Of course, no list of Easter recipes can be complete without a few lamb recipes and this one is my favorite. A delicious rack of lamb with a pistachio crust. It looks impressive and if you follow the steps it is not too complicated. Use a meat thermometer for best results though!

Gravlax
It’s funny how both lamb and salmon are classic Easter recipe favorites. I find this one that is cured in beetroot so pretty to look at. The beetroot is quite subtle in the end result and not too overpowering.

Easter cupcakes
The Easter eggs on top of the cupcakes make them perfect for the season but of course you could really make these cupcakes year round. They’re that good!
Easter chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate ganache
Easter brownies
These brownies are deliciously crunchy with the eggs hiding inside of the brownie but they are also easy to make. If you’ve got chocolate eggs left over after Easter this would also be a perfect recipe to get rid of leftovers.

Leg of lamb
Nothing more impressive than a whole leg of lamb to serve on the table. Keep in mind that this recipe is definitely not quick but it is so worth it!

Smoked salmon and cream cheese appetizer
This simple appetizer is delicious and can be served with some crunchy toast.

Asparagus soup
Looking for a delicious appetizer to start your Easter dinner? This asparagus soup is always a winner. And the good news is that you can make this with fresh asparagus but also with canned asparagus. Making it a whole lot cheaper too.

Tomato tartar
This is my latest favorite. It’s a great replacement for steak tartar and just about as delicious as the meat version. Of course this is even better when tomatoes are in season but since it’s become easier to find delicious tomatoes year round I did include it in this roundup.
